If you need help to build a list of subscribers to market your products or services, you can refer to the many sources and articles in the internet, which is available for everyone to read and learn. These sources and articles, however, may confuse you more than help, simply because there are so many ways to do it. Different people with differing needs would, quite naturally, have different approaches to build an opt-in list. But no matter how diverse and different these methods are, there are always these same crucial things to look out for in order to build your opt-in list. There are:
1. Put up a good web form from a reliable autoresponder in your site that immediately follows the end of your content.

This web form is a form for visitors to put in their names and email addresses for the purpose of getting more information from you regarding your products or services described your website. Remember that your homepage must give a good first impression to your visitors and contains useful information for them so that they would want more of such information and thus subscribing to your opt-in list via the web form.
A good web form to an opt-in list is not hard to do. Just write a simple short statement about how they can get more information and updates about the site. Then there should be an area where they could put in their names and email addresses. This web form will automatically be saved through an autoresponder. As more and more people sign in, your list will start to grow.
2. As mentioned above, your homepage, ie your first page must be very, very impressive to your visitors.
You need to have well-written articles and descriptions of your website. You need to capture your website visitor’s fancy. Make your site useful and simple to use. Your graphics need to be attractive not gaudy.
Don’t waste your time making your homepage large as it would make things small. The faster your site gets loaded, the better. Go for simplicity but cramped with product information
3. Provide good service to go with your useful product.
A customer who returns is more likely to bring in more business and recommendations. Words of mouth and recommendation alone can rake in more profits than an expensive advertisement. As your visitors grow, so will your list. With more members on the list, the more people will get to know about what you have to offer, present and future.
4. Keep a clean and private list.
Never lose the trust your customers have entrusted you. Do not give your list, or worse, sell it to others. If you do these and your list get spammed, many will probably unsubscribe to you. Remember, a good reputation will drive in more traffic and subscribers as well as strengthen the loyalty of your customers.
