If you are an online business owners, one of the most important marketing tools that you absolutely swear by is the autoresponder. In fact, the only other important thing beside the autoresponder is the opt-in list. However, you use the autoresponder initially because you do not have a list, and wanted to start one. That is, the list does not exist until your autoresponder mailing list starts filling up with names and email addresses!

The fastest and easiest way to build up your email list, especially if you do not have one yet, is to give things away for free. Start your autoresponder series with regards to the things that you are giving away, then either pay for advertisement, or generate free traffic to promote your freebie.
The product that you can give away can be an ezine, free reports, free ebooks, free access to private websites, or anything that you can think of. The objective is to get people to sign up to receive that freebie, and to agree to receive periodic emails from you in the future. Everyone wins in the end. The person gets a freebie, you get his name and email address and permission to email them in future. You’ll see you list increasing soon enough.
But to increase your advantage, you should use the freebie that you give away to also promote your products and services, for example, by putting affiliate links for products or services that are related to the topic of the freebie. In this way, you can generate extra revenue.
With your opt-in list, you can send future emails to this list and again promote your products or services. Just be sure that you include valuable information in the emails as well, or you will see your list declining when they chose to be de-listed from your mailing address as they are not satisfied with your products or services.
Use every opportunity you can get in Internet Marketing. Use the chance to earn money in the freebie that you create, use the chance again when you send the ‘thank you’ email after the person has requested for your freebie, and use the chance yet again every time an autoresponder message is sent out to your list in the future. Don’t waste these golden opportunities. Put them all in automatic code with the use of an autoresponder.
